ACTED News, information that cares
Every month for the last eight years, ACTED has been offering an overview of its activities in each of its fields of intervention through the ACTED Newsletter. Over each issue, this magazine has been beefing up to offer information on operations, our sectors of intervention on the ground, or, more recently, on our campaigns and advocacy initiatives in Europe with our various partners.
Until now, ACTED has made the choice of communicating through examples by detailing projects and their impact, as well as the context they evolve in. We try to offer the most comprehensive overview and report on the implementation and results of some 370 projects underway in 31 countries of intervention. With such presence up close with the situations they encounter every day, our teams are front line observers of humanitarian crises and the vulnerability of some of the poorest populations in the world. We now wish to highlight these forgotten crises and situations of endemic poverty, to which we strive to respond, through a new information tool: ACTED News.
Like other platforms such as Reliefweb and IRIN, ACTED News now aims at offering updated and multimedia information on these situations, with figures and elements of context, in order to alert and raise the public’s awareness to the humanitarian challenges throughout the world. This information is delivered every day by our teams in the field, and we now wish to share such reports with you. ACTED News, votre info humanitaire
Chaque mois depuis huit ans, ACTED propose un aperçu synthétique de ses activités sur ses terrains d’intervention au travers de la Newsletter ACTED. Au fil des éditions, ce support s’est étoffé pour proposer une information sur les opérations mises en oeuvre, sur nos thématiques d’intervention de terrain ou, plus récemment, sur nos campagnes et initiatives de plaidoyer menées en Europe avec nos différents partenaires.
Jusqu’à aujourd’hui ACTED a fait le choix d’une communication par l’exemple en détaillant ses projets et en présentant leur impact, ainsi que leur contexte. Nous proposons un aperçu et un compte-rendu aussi exhaustif que possible du déroulement et des résultats des quelques 370 programmes mis en oeuvre dans 31 pays d’interventions. Forts de cette présence au plus près des situations, nos équipes sont les témoins au quotidien des crises humanitaire et de la vulnérabilité des populations les plus pauvres à travers la planète. Ce sont ces crises oubliées et ces situations de pauvreté endémique, auxquels nous tentons de répondre, dont nous voulons aujourd’hui témoigner avec un nouvel outil d’information : ACTED News.
A l’image de plateformes comme Reliefweb ou IRIN, ACTED News veut désormais ainsi proposer une information actualisée et multi-support sur ces situations, associée à des éléments chiffrés et de contexte, afin d’alerter et sensibiliser nos publics aux défis humanitaires à travers le globe. Cette information est partagée chaque jour par nos équipes sur le terrain et ce sont ces rapports que nous entendons partager avec vous aujourd’hui.
